Getting there is half the fun!

So much fun! 

You know how anticipating vacation is half the fun or back in the day getting ready with your friends to go out for the night was often the best part of the night?! Preparing the general store for the summer is like that for us. The planning is SO MUCH FUN! This off season, treasures were picked up from antique markets in London, estate sales in Denver and trinkets were found in Belgium (sorry, we ate all the chocolate). A first-time trip to Hudson Valley, NY provided years of aspirational vision. Oh, and the best crackers for all your summer boating, beaching and concert picnics were discovered in Catskill, NY. I'm counting the weeks for that delivery to arrive! We've sampled wines, beer and lots of non-alcoholic (NA) products. Parch is a must try in the NA category. There are more cheeses and picnic provisions yet to be sampled in the next few weeks as food orders are prepared for the early June opening of the store. Lastly, we pull out from Colorado in less days than I can count on two hands. Shortly after we arrive in MI, the next wave of friends will roll in to help with labeling and set up. The annual St. Patrick's Day weekend crew showed and we laughed through hundreds of label sheets and fireside chats.  This summer we invite you to come live slow AND have some fun with us!  Molly McCoy & Greg Cummings
